Following a 22 year Marine Corps career Jack began a second career in safety and has over 13 years as an OSHA Safety and Health Compliance Officer.   He conducted a wide variety of comprehensive and complex inspections within general industry and construction to include approximately 30 fatality inspection and over 850 inspections of general industry and construction to include oil and gas and the grain industry.

The focus of an OSHA inspection is to ensure compliance with OSHA safety and health standards as well as industry consensus standards.  In addition, he provided assistance to employers for correcting hazards. Using his vast experience and knowledge, he coached co-workers and assisted them to develop their own inspections.  Jack will train management and employees in methods of recognizing and abating  hazards and will also train employers and employees how to conduct a job hazard analysis and enhance safety and health programs to reduce accidents. His OSHA background is extremely valuable to employers currently involved in any aspect of an OSHA inspection.

Jack has extensive experience and expertise in evaluating and writing safety programs and helping employers implement those programs in their day-to-day work.  He knows the training requirements and will conduct well prepared and professional training to employees to ensure OSHA compliance.

Because of his experience with OSHA, he has an intimate knowledge of OSHA processes and procedures and knows how to use that experience to benefit the employer.  He has a working knowledge of the OSHA legal process and an expert knowledge of the OSHA Field Operations Manual (FOM).   He has conducted and participated in in the informal conference process and testified in court cases on behalf of OSHA.  Simply put – he knows how OSHA thinks and works.  If you need or want someone who has been there and done that with OSHA, Jack is who you are looking for.
